Innovation Collaborative and Creative Generation Work to Build and Engage STEAM Audiences

The Innovation Collaborative and Creative Generation are pleased to announce their new collaboration to build and engage science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education  audiences. Through this project and work, the two organizations will strengthen the communications infrastructure of the Innovation Collaborative to advance STEAM education in their communities.

The Innovation Collaborative serves as a national forum to foster creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning. It identifies and disseminates information about the many ways that effective integration of the arts, sciences, humanities, engineering, and the use of technology reinforces teaching and incorporates lifelong learning in both in- and out-of-school settings. Through quarterly newsletters, related website updates, and the buildout of a strategic social media expansion, Creative Generation will generate the necessary infrastructure to support the Innovation Collaborative in building and engaging audiences of STEAM supporters. Creative Generation will conduct the necessary impact evaluation and monitoring to support the organization to respond to its audiences over time.

“The impact of the Innovation Collaborative’s work has advanced STEAM education in the United States remarkably over the last five years,” said Jeff M. Poulin, managing director of Creative Generation. “We, at Creative Generation, are excited to support the next chapter of this national service organization’s work as it reaches new audiences and supports the advancement of integrated and creative learning for youth.”

Creative Generation was founded in April 2019 as a research initiative and has grown its work throughout the United States and around the world. Through pioneering research in the arts and cultural education field – and the relentless support of arts and cultural educators in their work to cultivate the creative capabilities of young people – the organization regularly conducts national and global communications campaigns through the Campaign for a Creative Generation.

“The Collaborative is delighted to be working with Creative Generation,” said Lucinda Presley, executive director of the Innovation Collaborative. “Through our shared goals of advancing the narratives about the impact of creativity, our shared work building audiences for STEAM education will impact pedagogues and organizational practices ultimately increasing educational opportunity for all students, particularly those often left out of creative learning”

About the Innovation Collaborative

The Innovation Collaborative is a national transdisciplinary forum to foster creativity, innovation, and equity in teaching and learning. The Innovation Collaborative provides information about how effective intersections of the arts, sciences, humanities, engineering, math, and technology (STEAM) can reinforce innovative  thinking. To that end, it identifies, conducts, and disseminates research. By supporting teaching and lifelong learning, the Collaborative encourages networking and collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and individuals in both in-school (formal) and out-of-school (informal) settings and the intersections of the two. https://www.innovationcollaborative.org/
