Creative Generation Welcomes New Members to the Collective

The team at Creative Generation are pleased to welcome new members to their Collective and celebrate other members of the Collective in new roles!

Creative Generation is a values-driven, global collective that believes youth create change. As artists, educators, administrators, researchers, storytellers, and activists, we collaborate with young creatives and those who cultivate their creativity to take local actions towards global change.

In alignment with our organizational values, we co-create projects that build capacity within individuals and organizations and support field-wide learning in pursuit of a more just world. As a collective, we each bring unique skills and perspectives, integrating them to maximize impact. Learn more about our process to form and operate as a Collective here.

In the recent weeks, several people have joined our Collective in various capacities.

Tricia Tunstall and Patrick Scafidi have joined out collaborative as Sr. Specialist and Specialist, Documentation and Knowledge Production. In these roles, they will specifically support a research initiative exploring the intersections of arts and cultural education with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which commenced in 2021 and will conclude in 2022.

Heleya de Barros and James Miles have joined the Campaign for a Creative Generation as Campaign Correspondents and co-hosts of a new podcast, Disrupt: Ideas to Cultivate the Creative Generation. In these roles they will explore the complex topics at the intersection of arts, education, and organizational leadership. Through humor and real-life experiences, the two co-hosts will break down the most important big ideas – you know, those radical, creative, and disruptive ones that no one wants to talk about – and connect them to the classroom, the boardroom, or the office.

Some members of our Collective are returning for another year!

Returning to the Collective as Campaign Correspondents for the Campaign for a Creative Generation are Ashraf Hasham, Rachael Jacobs, Madeleine McGirk, and Karla Estela Rivera who will co-host the second season of Why Change? The Podcast for the Creative Generation.

Two members of our Collective have been promoted to recognize their contributions and leadership in our shared work.

Cobi Krieger has been promoted as a Sr. Associate, Research and Knowledge reflecting his leadership of both internal and external research design and strategy. Laurie T. Schell has been promoted as a Sr. Specialist, Content & Training reflecting her tremendous research, documentation, and curriculum design work in 2021.

Please join us in welcoming and congratulating our team!
